As part of the Arab Capital of Culture 2015, a degraded area of the city of Constantine – Bardo – has been redesigned by deploying infrastructures to dignify it as a new urban centre. The Urban Park encompasses a cultural hub, a library, a museum, a culture palace and a visiting room; and also two hotels, restaurants, housing, commerce and a sports area. At the same time, the banks of the river Rhumel, which are marked by several green spaces, have been upgraded.
