Between cork oaks and holm oaks, Vale das Sobreiras is a hill in the Alentejo, near Grândola, where the existing housing was refurbished and a new support block was built. The two buildings, through different in time and architecture, are connected through a courtyard enclosing the only fig tree on the site. The living room, the kitchen and the guest bedroom are in the new building and connect with the outside landscape through large windows opening out onto a pleasant meadow area which provides a fine backdrop for the biological pool.
