Mar Vermelho & Mar Mediterrâneo

Two office buildings
Mar Vermelho &
Mar Mediterrâneo

The project for two office buildings – Mar Vermelho e Mar Mediterrâneo Buildings, located on Parque das Nações, fits into a rectangular lot with three fonts. They are isolated structures that rise from a common landscape platform and are compatible in size. The complex is reinforced by the similarity between the buildings. The structural mesh made up of slab and pillar is visible and appears protected by a “skin” in a detached surface – a metallic mesh in one building and glass in the other – which protects from light and affords privacy. The interior space is based on an open-space concept supported by a central circulation area.
